Privacy Policy

WedThread ("we", "our", or "us") operates the mobile application marketed as Link (the "App"), which helps users save, organize, and categorize links and images for wedding planning. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices and rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

  • Email address — when you create an account with email, or when you sign in with Apple or Google and authorize sharing of email (or related account details allowed by that provider).
  • User ID — a unique identifier assigned to your account for authentication and to associate your data with you.
  • Profile and activity fields we store — such as save counts, last activity timestamps, and preferences needed to run the App (for example, notification-related preferences where applicable).

User content

  • URLs and links — addresses you save, including metadata we derive or fetch (such as page titles, descriptions, and thumbnails where available).
  • Photos and images — images you upload or share into the App (including via the iOS Share Extension).
  • Notes, tags, categories, and similar organizational data — text and labels you add or that we suggest for your saved items.

Device and technical information

  • Push notification token — if you allow notifications on your device, we may store an Apple push token associated with your account so we can deliver notifications you have opted into.
  • Standard technical data — such as app/platform type associated with your token, and operational logs our service providers process when you use the App (for example, security and reliability logging).

Purchase information

  • We use RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions. We receive subscription status information needed to unlock features. We do not receive your full payment card number or complete Apple billing details; payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Feedback and support

  • If you use in-app feedback, we collect the email address, message, and optional name you submit so we can respond or improve the App.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide the service — authenticate you, store and sync your saved content, run the Share Extension flow, and show your library.
  • AI-assisted categorization — to suggest titles, categories, tags, and short descriptions, we send text metadata about saved items (such as titles, descriptions, and URLs) to OpenAI. When helpful for classification, we may also send image-related inputs (for example, an image URL we deem safe to transmit, or image data we fetch and process on our servers for that purpose). We do not send your email address or account identifiers to OpenAI for this purpose.
  • Subscriptions — determine whether you are on a free or paid plan and enforce plan limits.
  • Notifications — if you opt in, send planning-related reminders or similar messages you have agreed to; honor in-app notification preferences where we offer them.
  • Email — send operational or internal emails needed to run the App (for example, routing feedback you submit to our team). New-account alerts to our team may include basic signup details (such as email) so we can operate support and fraud prevention.
  • Security and integrity — protect accounts, investigate abuse, and maintain reliable operation.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on service providers who process information on our behalf:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and backend functions. Privacy Policy

  • Resend — email delivery for certain App-related messages (such as feedback submissions and internal notifications). Privacy Policy
  • Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for delivering push notifications. Apple's privacy notices apply to those Apple services.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run third-party ads in the App based on selling your data to ad networks.

4. Data Sharing

We share information with the providers above only as needed to operate the App, or when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer (such as a merger), subject to applicable law.

5. Storage and Security

We use industry-standard protections, including encryption in transit (such as TLS). Your content is stored in cloud infrastructure with access controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

6. Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account through the App, we delete or anonymize associated personal data and user content in line with our systems' capabilities and legal requirements.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and correction — view and edit saved items and many account-related details in the App.
  • Delete content — delete individual saves in the App.
  • Delete account — use the in-app account deletion flow; this is intended to remove your account data from our systems.
  • Notifications — use iOS Settings and any in-app controls we provide to manage push notifications.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, access, portability, or objection). Contact us using the details below and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. International Users

If you use the App from outside Canada, your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by law or through the App.
